It all started back in 2014, in the heart of the bustling fishing port of Olhão. João Vicente had a simple, two-wheeled obsession: the Algarve was too beautiful to be seen through a car window. He knew that the only way to truly experience the secret coves, the smell of the salt pans, and the panoramic views from the Serra hills was on a bike or a scooter.
João didn’t just want to “rent vehicles”; he wanted to offer a key to freedom. He wanted every visitor to the southern coastal region to have the chance to discover his homeland in a way that was fun, easy, and completely free. What started as a small, local hub for sales and rentals of bikes and scooters has grown into the Sunride you see today—a decade of experience, a fleet that has grown, but a heart that remains in that first garage in Olhão.
